US vetoes UN resolution that would have required Trump to rescind recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital
More winning. I’m not tired of winning yet, however. Now it’s time to get out of the United Nations altogether, and send it packing from the United States.

The United States has vetoed a U.N. resolution that would have required President Donald Trump to rescind his declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The Egyptian-sponsored Security Council resolution was approved by the 14 other council members, a reflection of the depth of global opposition to Trump’s action.
Arab nations knew in advance that the United States was certain to veto the resolution, but they sought the vote to demonstrate that countries everywhere and even many U.S. allies such as Britain, France and Japan are against Trump’s action.
U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley called the resolution “an insult” that won’t be forgotten…

Nasrallah mixed his incitement to jihad violence with some conspiracy paranoia, claiming that “America created ISIS and the takfiri groups.” “Takfir” is the act of declaring some other group non-Muslim, such that they can lawfully be killed. Sunni jihad groups such as the Islamic State and al-Qaeda are often called takfiris by other Muslims — those whom they declare non-Muslim. In any case, the Islamic leaders of all sects and perspectives are doing their best to stir up Muslim rage over Trump’s refusal to bow to their intimidation, figuring that maybe if they try to intimidate him even more, he will eventually cave in. Intimidation is the only tool in their box.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called President Donald Trump on Sunday to thank him for a CIA tip that prevented a plot to bomb St. Petersburg.
The CIA provided enough information for Russian authorities to nab a ring of suspectsplanning a deadly attack against the Kazan Cathedral and numerous other locations in St. Petersburg, according to the Kremlin, The Associated Press reports.
Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) announced Friday that it had arrested seven suspect Islamic extremists involved in the bomb plot earlier in December.
Putin asked Trump to thank the CIA on his behalf and also added that Russian intelligence will in turn pass over any tips it might come across regarding potential threats against the United States.
“Russian security services, should they have information about possible terrorist threats to the United States and its citizens, will swiftly and unconditionally share it with the US colleagues via partner channels,” the Kremlin’s press service stated….
Italian city removes Christmas tree from town hall to avoid offending Muslims

The traditional Christmas tree in the town hall of the Italian city of Bolzano (Bozen), in Trentino Alto Adige has been removed not to hurt the sensibility of non-Christian believers, the association “Veterani dello Sport” denounced as reported by Il Giornale.
The “Association of Veterans” organised an event in the public room of the Town Hall to award the “Athlete of the year” prize. They decorated the room with traditional Christmas symbols and, given the Christmas time, once they finished their event they left a Christmas tree decoration. The problem arrived the day after, when they received a call from an office of the Town Hall asking to remove the Christmas tree because there would have been a meeting of a Muslim association in the same room and ‘the tree could hurt their sensibility,’ the president of the Association Alberto Ferrini said.
