Australia: Judge waits to jail Muslim migrant attempted murderer so he can observe Ramadan

“Mr Power also told the court Ali was having problems properly observing Islam behind bars and had been teased during his prayers. He had been assaulted in jail.”

Teased during prayers! The poor lamb! By all means, release him, and give him a new supply of machetes!

“Judge waits to jail Muslim refugee who tried to kill his ex-girlfriend with a machete – after concerns he won’t be able to observe Ramadan, eat halal food and may be TAUNTED while praying,” by Stephen Gibbs, Daily Mail Australia, August 29, 2017:

A judge has asked for more detail about the conditions faced by Muslim inmates in Queensland jails after hearing a refugee who tried to kill his ex-partner was having trouble observing Ramadan.

Muhumed Samow Ali appeared in the Supreme Court in Brisbane today after being convicted of trying to kill his former girlfriend with a machete at Wacol, in Brisbane’s south-west, on September 10, 2015.

He was sentenced to 10 years’ jail for attempted murder, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, assault and going armed as to cause fear.

The Somalian refugee, then 52, drove his car head-on into his 45-year-old ex-partner’s vehicle near a train station then struck her seven times in the head and back with a machete as she tried to escape. She suffered a fractured skull.

Ali’s lawyer, Ben Power, told the court his client suffers from depression and post-traumatic stress disorder due to his experiences in his native Somalia.

Mr Power also told the court Ali was having problems properly observing Islam behind bars and had been teased during his prayers. He had been assaulted in jail.

‘The situation is there are also very few Muslims in jail,’ Mr Power said, according to The Courier-Mail.

‘He has real problems with the food in the jail … Ramadan is very difficult because they don’t make allowances for fasting so he has to store up his food in order to eat it after dusk or dawn in order to observe Ramadan.’

‘He says he is often taunted during his required prayers.’

Ali, who denied trying to kill his ex-partner, also had concerns about the halal status of some prison food.

Justice Roslyn Atkinson had said she wanted more information on the conditions for Muslim prisoners before she sentenced Ali, according to the newspaper.

‘Obviously he has the right and he should have the expectation of being able to practise his religion and all that that involves without any difficulty … including any fasting requirements,’ Justice Atkinson said.

‘And I would be surprised that he is not allowed to do that.’

Justice Atkinson also said English lessons would help Ali not feel ‘so isolated’. Such lessons were not available….

YouTube, Twitter, Instagram censoring content to suit Iran’s Islamic authorities

Now we know why Twitter flags as “hateful” the perfectly true statement that Islam is not a religion of peace.

“Western social media firms under fire as Iranians hint at dialogue over censorship,” by Bethan McKernan, Independent, August 30, 2017:

Several social media companies in the West have been criticised for a perceived lack of transparency in alleged talks with the Iranian authorities on censoring content to the approval of the country’s strict religious authorities.

Instagram, currently available in the country – as well as Twitter and YouTube, which are blocked but widely visited by Iranians using proxy servers – have all been reported by local media in recent weeks as as co-operating with the authorities to aid them in blocking or censoring “immoral” content.

Newly installed communications minister Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi has been clear that he intends to shake up the status quo, promising citizens easier access to the internet and app platforms.

He has been quoted in several Iranian newspapers as claiming that the government is in fresh talks with social media companies to allow them to operate more freely within Iran as long as they adhere to the country’s strict “morality” rules.

“[Twitter] has announced that it is prepared to negotiate to resolve problems,“ he told a daily newspaper last week, adding that officials had also reached out to YouTube representatives.

In news reports earlier this month, outgoing communications minister Mahmoud Vaezi said that the Supreme Council of Cyberspace (SCC) had also begun talks with managers at photo-based service Instagram to block “immodest” pages from being viewed within the country….

UK: Primary school teacher urged Muslims to wage jihad and establish caliphate

“Initially Malik was also prevented from going to marches or demonstrations at Islamic events but Mr Ikram said this would infringe on her human rights so lifted the condition.”

So now she can make recruits at will at such marches and demonstrations. Good thing the British authorities, as alert to the sensitivities of Islamic supremacists as ever, are so concerned about her human rights.

“Primary school teacher ‘urged Muslims to take up Jihad and establish global caliphate,’” by Andy Wells, Yahoo News UK, August 29, 2017:

A special needs primary school teacher has been suspended for allegedly encouraging Muslims to sacrifice all their money to help establish a worldwide Islamic Caliphate.

Prosecutors say that Sadia Malik, 36, promoted Islamic hate groups and urged Muslims to take up Jihad.

The special education needs coordinator from Wales, is accused of sending two messages via WhatsApp with YouTube links to four videos and a website linked to banned British-born hate preacher Omar Bakri Mohammed.

One video described tactics for fighting in Syria and Iraq and another described how martyrs would still be smiling even if they had been decapitated.

She was arrested along with her husband Sajid Idris, and charged with two counts of distributing terrorist material on January 28, 2014.

She appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today and sat outside the dock wearing a dark blue hijab and black burkha, where she spoke only to confirm her name, date of birth and address.

The court heard Malik also had links to the banned Al-Muhajiroun group, through her husband, set up by jailed hate-cleric, Anjem Choudary.

Samuel Main, prosecuting, said: “The Crown say the defendant sent messages with links to videos to 12 recipients via WhatsApp.

“These contained links to sites and a YouTube channel which contained extremist material, including several videos.

“One video called for Muslims to challenge the values created by society through Jihad.

“It also encourage viewers to fight against the kuffar regime.

“Another was titled ‘Rules Relating to Smiling’ and stated that even after death from being decapitated the martyr will still have a smile on his face.

“Another by video entitled ‘Tawheed’ talked about the global Muslim population being under one caliph and creating a military wing to ensure the implementation of Sharia law.

“The Crown say the important thing is that Ms Malik distributed these videos, she furnished receivers with the keys to the warehouse to access these videos.

“In addition there was one called Frontier of Islam which suggested all Muslims should sacrifice all their health and wealth for the service of their creed.

“A ‘War Strategies’ video gave details of how tactics could be implemented in places such as Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Nigeria.”

Deputy Chief Magistrate Tanvir Ikram released Malik on conditional bail.

One condition of her bail was not to give talks at any public event where Islam is being discussed or to distribute leaflets.

Initially Malik was also prevented from going to marches or demonstrations at Islamic events but Mr Ikram said this would infringe on her human rights so lifted the condition….

UK: Muslim refuses to stand for judge, is ordered: “Get up. This is not a court of religion.”

Many times we have seen Muslims refusing to stand in court, because they recognize only Sharia, which they regard as divine law, as opposed to “manmade law.” It is rare, however, to see a judge actually ordering one of these Islamic supremacists to stand. Is he aware that in doing so, he is forcing Ricardo McFarlane to transgress a tenet of Islam, and as such has become an “Islamophobe”? Apparently not, since he said: “That isn’t in breach of any religious principles I’m aware of.”

Meanwhile, British authorities should become aware of and study the fact that so many converts to Islam get the idea that their new religion makes them contemptuous of the authorities of their home country. But they won’t.

“‘Get up. This is not a court of religion’: Judge blasts Muslim convert who refuses to stand as he faces charges of promoting sharia law in Oxford Street,” by Amie Gordon, Mailonline, August 29, 2017 (thanks to Steve):

A Muslim convert accused of preaching sharia law in central London was ordered to stand up for a judge who told him: ‘This is not a court of religion.’

Ricardo McFarlane, 30, allegedly breached an ASBO made in February 2014, which barred him from approaching members of the public ‘in order to promote sharia law’.

McFarlane and a group of up to 20 other men are said to have set up a stall outside Topshop in Oxford Street on March 25 last year and called for strict Islamic laws to be imposed across the UK.

He is also said to have gone to Tooting Broadway Station on April 4 and Kingsland Road in Dalston on April 16, 2016, to set up similar stalls.

He denies one count of breach of an ASBO and was due to stand trial at Southwark Crown Court today.

The bearded defendant, wearing a green and gold robe, told the court usher he would not stand for ‘any man’ before the hearing began.

Judge Martin Beddoe noticed that McFarlane, who is on conditional bail, did not stand up when he entered the courtroom.

‘If Mr McFarlane isn’t going to treat this court with respect then I might have to deal with him differently than to release him on bail,’ he said before a break in proceedings.

He denies one count of breach of an ASBO and was due to stand trial at Southwark Crown Court today

Roy Hedlam, defending, said: ‘Because of his religious belief he believes there is only one person who he should bow to.’

Judge Beddoe continued: ‘That is as may be, but this isn’t a court of religion, this is a secular court and it expects to be treated with respect.

‘That isn’t in breach of any religious principles I’m aware of.’

McFarlane stood up in the dock while judge Beddoe was speaking, prompting him to say: ‘He’s very kindly standing up for me because I’m about to go.’

The defendant stood up in the dock during the rest of the hearing.

His trial was adjourned until the week beginning 11 September because a witness was unable to attend court.

Judge Beddoe said: ‘I’m sorry your case hasn’t been able to advance today, but you know the reasons why. It is now in the warned list for the 11 September.’…

“No, The Muslim Jesus Is Not Even Close To The Jesus Of The Bible”

The establishment brings us deceptive and disingenuous apologetics for Islam on a regular basis, and there is rarely any pushback. Even religious publications such as the National Catholic Reporter, which published the article being replied to here, seem to have no compunction about bringing these soothing falsehoods to their readers (of course, the National Catholic Reporter’s religion is more Leftism than Catholicism). That is why it is good to see the deceptive Islamic apologetics dissected for once — by Mark Tapscott at the Daily Caller.

“FAITH FILE: No, The Muslim Jesus Is Not Even Close To The Jesus Of The Bible,” by Mark Tapscott, Daily Caller, August 28, 2017:

National Catholic Reporter is among the last places one expects to find a Muslim apologist peddling theological snake oil, but Friday’s headline — “The Muslim Jesus Provides Common Ground For Christianity, Islam” — left no doubt about what Ra’fat Al-Dajani was offering.

“The Islamic version of the Jesus story especially, is quite similar to the Christian version,” claimed Al-Dajani. “Jesus is variously referred to as ‘Spirit from God,’ ‘Word from/of God’), ‘Prophet-Messenger of God,’ and the ‘Messiah,’ who will come back on the Day of Judgment to destroy the Antichrist.” Al-Dajani is described by NCR as “a Palestinian-American writer and commentator.”

In fact, other than the Virgin Birth, the five letters that spell J-e-s-u-s are the only “common ground” shared by the Muslim and Christian versions of the child born to Mary two millennia ago. The biggest issue that separates the two faiths is by far the most important one — was Jesus God, as he claimed?

Christians believe Jesus was simultaneously both the Son of God and the Son of Man, fully divine and fully human. He left no room for doubt about it on numerous occasions, as when, according to John 8:58, he told the Pharisees “before Abraham was, I am.”

That claim, when uttered by any man, was considered blasphemous and deserving of death by the Pharisees. Pilate, Caesar’s man in the Jewish homeland, found nothing under Roman law to justify executing Jesus but, as a matter of political expediency, he ordered the crucifixion.

Three days later, the tomb of Jesus was empty and soon thereafter Jerusalem was in an absolute uproar because, according to the Bible (see Acts 2:14-39), the disciples were telling any one who would listen that they had seen and talked to the resurrected Jesus, who would someday return to judge every person who ever lived.

That’s NOT the Jesus of the Koran, which says at 5:17: “They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is Christ, the son of Mary.” In case there might be any doubt on the point, the Koran adds this at 9:30: “Allah’s curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!” Being cursed is the worst fate possible for a Muslim.

Similarly, as Jihad Watch’s Robert Spencer notes, the Koran utterly rejects the Christian claim that Jesus died on the cross, saying at 4:157: “And because of their saying: We killed the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah’s messenger – they did not kill him or crucify him, but it appeared so to them; and those who disagree concerning it are in doubt about it; they have no knowledge of it except pursuit of a conjecture; they did not kill him for certain.”

In other words, the Koran argues that Jesus survived crucifixion. To grasp how completely disconnected that view is from the horrendous reality of such a death, spend a few minutes with this description from National Geographic, which nobody would accuse of being a Christian propaganda tool, of how crucifixion killed.

Al-Dajani concludes his National Catholic Reporter post with these words:

“Naturally there are theological differences between Muslims and Christians regarding Jesus but there are far more similarities and these similarities are what should be emphasized in order to show the common ground between these two faiths …”

No, there are almost no similarities. The Koran and the Bible don’t even agree on the essential nature of God. Christians believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The Trinity of three persons who share one essence.

For the faithful Muslim, as the Koran says at 4:171, “Allah is only One Allah. It is far removed from his transcendent majesty that he should have a son.”

Genuine common ground between Christians and Muslims cannot be based on misrepresentations of the core beliefs of either faith, especially when they are logically irreconcilable, as on the issue of whether Jesus is God….
