Muslim cop who shot unarmed woman says he was “startled” by loud noise, but no nearby residents heard it

Mohamed Noor was on the force because he was a Somali Muslim. He was in way over his head. The story he has concocted to explain his killing of Justine Damond is already unraveling.

“Family of US cop Mohamed Noor say officer mistakenly shot Justine Damond,” by Sarah Blake, Daily Telegraph, July 20, 2017 (thanks to the Geller Report):

Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor who fatally shot Ms Damond, 40, will be compelled to give a statement to his department as part of an internal investigation.

Officer Noor hasn’t spoken with state investigators and doesn’t have to.

Howevever, the police department’s internal affairs unit can compel him to give a statement as part of its own investigation, and fire him if he refuses, said Minneapolis defense lawyer Joe Friedberg, who isn’t involved in the case.

That statement cannot be used against him in any criminal investigation.

Mr Noor hasn’t provided his explanation for what happened on Saturday when he fired a shot from the passenger seat of a squad car, past his partner in the driver’s seat and killed Ms Damond who was standing outside the vehicle.

According to the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, his partner, Officer Matthew Harrity, told investigators he was driving in the alley with all of the vehicle’s lights off when he was startled by a loud noise….

A lawyer for cop Matthew Harrity says ‘it’s certainly reasonable’ that his client and his partner thought they were being ambushed when Justine Damond was shot.

Fred Bruno, Mr Harrity’s lawyer, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that his client and Mohamed Noor, who shot Damond, may have been spooked by a “loud noise” before the Australian woman approached the police car.

“It’s certainly reasonable to assume that any police officer would be concerned about a possible ambush under these circumstances,” Mr Bruno said. “It was only a few weeks ago when a female NYPD cop and mother of twins was executed in her car in a very similar scenario.”

Mr Bruno was referring to New York City police officer Miosotis Familia, 48, who was killed earlier this month by a mentally ill man as she sat in her police car.

Noor’s lawyer, Thomas Plunkett, did not immediately respond to a request for comment….

The declaration came as a preliminary investigation by Minnesota’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension revealed Noor and his fellow officer had been startled by a loud noise in the seconds before she approached their car and was shot.

Mr Harrity, 26, who was driving the Minneapolis police car responding to Damond’s 911 call for help late Saturday night, described the last moments of Damond’s life to investigators.

He said the loud noise — which was possibly fireworks, according to police radio — came just as Damond walked to the squad car he was driving, around the corner from her home.

Officer Noor, 31, fired through the door of the car, and killed Ms Damond, 40, with a single gunshot to the abdomen.

Harrity was reportedly stunned when his partner opened fire.

Friends of Noor’s told the Daily Mail that he was “startled” by Damond when he opened fire.

His version of events, told by friends on the basis of anonymity, lined up with what Harrity told investigators.

However he has been criticised for not providing a statement to investigators.

News Corp spoke to half a dozen residents who were in their houses around the crime scene on Saturday night and none had heard the gunshot or any other loud noises that sounded like fireworks. One resident a block from the scene, waiter Tom McConnell, said however it was common during the current summer holidays for fireworks left over from the recent July 4 celebrations to be set off on weekend nights….

Turkey leaks secret details of U.S. troop locations in northern Syria

It is as I have said for years: the U.S. should reconfigure its international alliances to deal realistically with the jihad threat, getting closer to nations that also face that threat, and ending the sham alliance with jihad-promoting states such as Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey. Turkey is, as it has shown here, in no sense an ally. The pretense benefits the U.S. not at all.

“Turkey Spills Out Secret Details Of US Troop Locations,” by Jonah Bennett, Daily Caller News Foundation, July 19, 2017 (thanks to the Geller Report):

Turkey has decided to knock the U.S. via its state news agency by leaking out secret details of U.S. troop locations in northern Syria.

Anadolu news agency published a list of 10 U.S. military installations in northern Syria and even included details about the number of troops in specific areas, which is a shocking move for a NATO ally, The Daily Beast reports.

Two of the bases were already known. Some other locations had previously leaked out through a news agency in Iran, but Turkey compiled all of the information and put it out on blast through Anadolu Tuesday via its English language site.

A spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve asked The Daily Beast not to publish base details from the Anadolu news agency….

Ireland: South Dublin County Council flying Palestinian flag in solidarity with “oppressed people of Palestine”

How wonderful. Solidarity with those who murder innocent civilians and pass out candy to celebrate. Solidarity with those who teach their children that they should grow up to kill Jews. Solidarity with those who launch rocket attacks from civilian areas, hoping to draw retaliatory fire that will kill civilians, so that they can exploit the incident for propaganda purposes. Solidarity with those who laud jihad mass murderers as heroes. The South Dublin County Council should be so very proud.

“South Dublin County Council to fly Palestinian flag for a month as ‘message of solidarity,’” The Journal.ie, July 11, 2017:

SOUTH DUBLIN IS set to see the Palestinian flag fly over the County Hall in Tallaght for a month in solidarity with the “oppressed people of Palestine”.

The motion, proposed by Sinn Féin councillor Enda Fanning, passed by majority at yesterday’s South Dublin County Council meeting.

No member of the council voted against the motion.

South Dublin County Council will become the fourth Irish local authority to fly the Palestinian flag, following in the footsteps of Dublin City Council, Galway County Council and Sligo County Council, who all voted to fly the flag in recent months.

Councillor Fanning said that the move sends a “small message of solidarity to the people of Palestine”.

The motion read:

Following the example set by Dublin City Council, this Council will fly the flag of Palestine over County Hall for a month in solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine.

Fanning said: “It is only three short years this week since the Israeli onslaught on Gaza, which lasted for seven weeks, began in the summer of 2014.

“I am delighted with [the] vote in solidarity with the people of Palestine. It might seem like a very small gesture but I know from the reaction to similar decisions made by other councils that today’s vote will be applauded across Palestine and elsewhere.”….

Effects of Centuries of Extreme Inbreeding Among Muslims: Low IQ, Violence and Terrorism

Taboo: Almost half of Muslims are inbred. How does that affect intelligence and health? And is there a connection to terrorism and violence?

Lise Egholm, longtime school leader in the Muslim-dominated area of Nørrebro in Copenhagen, Denmark, recently warned against not talking about the widespread practise of inbreeding among Muslims: “A study shows that infant mortality doubles, along with a high risk of congenital malformations, also that increased birth defect rates and inheritance of recessive traits are more common in consanguineous marriages. I think it’s time to express concern. We must talk about this problem. All parents want healthy children. Fortunately, we live in a society where our health system does much to ensure that a pregnancy ends with a viable child. What amazes me and has made me wonder for years is why we do not talk about, maybe they even ban, the many cousin marriages?”

While health systems in otherwise less-developed countries in the Muslim world are openly discussing and warning against consanguineous marriages, it is considered politically incorrect in the West to regard as a problem the vast genetic and societal difficulties resulting from this religious-cultural practise.

Prevalence

Statistical research on Arabic countries shows that up to 34 percent of all marriages in Algiers are consanguineous (cousin marriages), 46 percent in Bahrain, 33 percent in Egypt, 80 percent in Nubia (southern area in Egypt), 60 percent in Iraq, 64 percent in Jordan, 64 percent in Kuwait, 42 percent in Lebanon, 48 percent in Libya, 47 percent in Mauritania, 54 percent in Qatar, 67 percent in Saudi Arabia, 63 percent in Sudan, 40 percent in Syria, 39 percent in Tunisia, 54 percent in the United Arab Emirates and 45 percent in Yemen (Reproductive Health Journal, 2009 Consanguinity and reproductive health among Arabs). In Pakistan, 70 percent of marriages are consanguineous, and in Turkey, the percentage is 25-30. There seems to be no national data on Indonesia, but there are reports on 17 percent consanguinity on East Timor and a “high level of consanguineous marriages in some areas of Java.”

Palestinian Authority: Huge increase in jihad terror funding in 2017

What a lucrative business jihad murder is for some people. Not long ago, paying jihad terrorists seemed absurd and obscene, albeit unsurprising from the likes of the Palestinian Authority; but the concept is now becoming familiar in light of the Canadian government’s payouts to Omar Khadr and three other Muslims, the latter under shady circumstances, and involving undisclosed amounts.

Ignoring demands to stop rewarding terror by the United States, EU countries, Israel and many others, the PA in 2017 is actually increasing significantly these outlays.

May such demands to stop rewarding terror (and suspected terrorists) extend to Canada, please? Fury over the Khadr payout and the embarrassing apology by the Canadian government (certainly not on behalf of all Canadians) is not subsiding. Sgt. Layne Morris, who was blinded by Omar Khadr, stated that it is not Omar Khadr who keeps him up at night, but Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

“Huge increase in PA terror funding in 2017”, by Itamar Marcus, PMW, July 19, 2017:

The PA has publicized its budget for 2017, which includes how much it will be spending on salaries to terrorist prisoners and to families of terrorist “Martyrs.” Ignoring demands to stop rewarding terror by the United States, EU countries, Israel and many others, the PA in 2017 is actually increasing significantly these outlays. The PA expenditure for salaries to terrorist prisoners has risen by a huge 13%, from 488 million shekels ($135 million) in 2016 to 550 million shekels ($158 million), and the expenditure for payments to families of “Martyrs” has gone up by 4% from 660 million shekels ($183 million) to 687 million shekels ($197 million). In 2017, the PA’s total expenditure for directly funding terror is 1.237 billion shekels or $355 million…..
