“Prayer for genocide of ‘enemies’ of Allah, by PA TV preacher,” by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik, Palestinian Media Watch, April 24, 2016 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Allah should “count” His enemies, the enemies of Islam, and “kill them to the last one,” prayed the preacher on official PA TV on Friday. The PA TV preacher then singled out for punishment “the wicked Jews” and “the atheists who help them”:
PA TV Preacher: “Allah, punish Your enemies, the enemies of religion, count their numbers and kill them to the last one, and bring them a black day. Allah, punish the wicked Jews, and those among the atheists who help them. Allah, we ask that You bestow upon us respect and honor by enabling us to repel them, and we ask You to save us from their evil.”
In recent years, Palestinian Media Watch has documented that the Palestinian Authority and Fatah have replaced using sermons to call for killing Jews, with different ways of promoting killing Israelis: Statements by PA and Fatah leaders in support of terror attacks and their perpetrators, celebration and glorification of the murderers, music videos promoting violence and killing of Israelis and much more. In itself, the fact that the PA continues to reward terrorists and murderers who are imprisoned in Israel with generous salaries, constitutes one of the strongest expressions of encouragement and endorsement of killing Israelis.
The PA changed its means to promote killing of Israelis after foreign governments and the media condemned the sermons on PA TV, after PMW had reported on many Friday sermons on PA TV, which called for Muslims to exterminate Jews. Since then there have been only occasional calls for genocide in sermons and in speeches by religious leaders, such as the PA Mufti’s description of Fatah’s war with Israel as a war for extermination of Jews. As stated, the terror and murder promotion has not stopped, only the means has changed.
This past Friday, the PA TV sermon once again called for genocide. PMW will report if this is a return to past practice or a single reminder that the PA sees its conflict with Israel as one component of a religious war of Islam against all Jews.
